Some how, this one is scary and entertaining at the same time.

Starting a little too early

Today is the fourth of July, and that means people will be celebrating by setting of fireworks and grilling hamburgers. But it looks like the festivities started yesterday.

Yesterday people were already buying lots of meat and charcoal. That I understand; they were getting ready for the big day. But I also saw businesses closing early and people going home early. Last night I even heard people down the street setting off firecrackers. Jeez, what was it, Independence Day eve?

I have mentioned before that I have been racking up a lot of purchases. That has all been food and other essential items. But I am starting to see fuel costs being a larger part of that. It's good that we don't have gas prices like last year. Still the price is starting to get to me. When I had my previous car $20 would last me about a week. Now, with all of this running around, I'm finding $20 isn't cutting it. What's even stranger is that I have a more efficient Toyota Camry. In fact, the car is in great working order. So I'm starting to wonder if I had made the right decision with this car.
